Congratulations to Hollie Benefield on her new horse,

Heaven Sent

2yr old Arabian/Paint filly

Hollie has been taking lessons here for about a year and a half and is a "Horse Crazy" girl!! She loves to ride and has been dreaming of owning her own horse. When this beautiful filly arrived, which Hollie has renamed Heaven Sent, all of the students fell in love with her. She has a wonderful personality and is very layed back and willing to learn.

Hollie started helping me start Heaven under saddle and saw what a wonderful horse she was becoming. On Oct 11, 2008, Hollie's mother and grandparents surprised her by giving her Heaven.

Heaven will be staying at Whispering Rain Farms to continue her training until the end of Nov 08, when she will go to her new home at Hollie's house!!

8yr old Arabian Gelding

Midnight is a beautiful, purebred Arabian gelding. He is great on the trails wagon trains. He has all of the spirit, beauty and endurance that people love in Arabians. He has strong feet and only need shoes when riding miles and miles on rocks. He rides well in a plain snaffle bit or just a halter. He neck reins and listens to leg pressure.

Update: in October 08, Dani signed her and Midnight up for a 2 Day Sensory Training Clinic. ("Mounted Police Training for the Civilian Rider") They had to ride through ponds, over bridges (with smoke coming from under it at times), through gates, over logs, poles and tires, under tarps, etc!! Danie even shot a gun off of Midnight!! We are so proud of you both!!!

Everyone here just loved Dandy and we are so glad to see her in such a great home.

Dandy was sold as green broke, but Robert and Amy have continued her training. Upon our last update, we heard that Dandy was going on trail rides, through creeks and over logs and she is doing great!!

Rosie is such a sweet mare. We have been using her for riding lessons and she's great on the trails. She has the dun stripe, leg stripes and light shoulder shading.

We are keeping Rosie's full brother, a buttermilk buckskin dun gelding.

Katima as a yearling

Our family raised Katima and still owns her dam and sire. We had done all of the basic ground work with her and she was easy to catch, lead and load into the trailer. She would stand for the farrier, take a saddle and bridle and was started on ground driving.

Katima was purchased to be trained for barrels and poles. We look forward to hearing updates on how she is doing!! We'll update this page with her progress.

2/4/08 Update

The day after Katima arrived in her new home, we received an update saying that they had began working with her. She is enjoying her new stall. They have continued working on her ground work and the new owner has been laying across her back and she did great. I bet they'll be riding her by the time she turns 2yrs old!!

Justice was used for beginner riding lessons while at Whispering Rain Farms.

Justice is a great Hunter Under Saddle horse and has had some Dressage Training. He has been shown in Western Pleasure and English Pleasure. Justice was also shown in Mounted Shooting!!

Justice has went to a great home with a young teenage girl who is learning to ride. Who knows, we may see Carley and Justice in the show ring soon!!

Congrats guys! We miss Justice dearly, but know he is at a great home.

Joe has Watch Joe Jack and Three Jets on his papers!! He is a great trail horse and will go anywhere. He prefers taking it slow and easy on the trail, but will gallop if you want him to.

Congratulations to Gina Tomlinson, of Atlanta, GA on her purchase of "Wylie". At their first Special Olympics show together, they placed in 5 classes, taking a First Place in Western Horsemanship, placing 2nd in Dressage, Obstacles, & English Equitation, and 3rd in Western Patterns.
